Five Things To Remember On Feb. 5

1. As the nation's leaders continue to discuss immigration reform, Catholics are being asked to contact their representatives in the United States Congress and Senate to pass comprehensive legislation now through an electronic postcard campaign.

2. The nomination process is now open for the 2013 Cardinal Bernardin New Leadership Award. This award honors a Catholic young adult (age 18-35) engaged in efforts to end the root causes of poverty in the United States.

3. National Marriage Week is Feb. 7-14. Catholics are encouraged to make a vow during the week to improve their marriage.  They will find marriage enrichment ideas on the For your Marriage and Por tu Matrimonio websites. For resources on marriage's unique meaning, visit the Marriage: Unique for a Reason website.

4.  Many Catholics in Central and Eastern Europe lack a permanent place to worship and a priest to give them the sacraments.

5. God loves you.
